“In this world you will have ______..”

Tonight in Children’s Ministry we talked about the Holy Spirit and John 16:33b. We learned about how Jesus left us the Holy Spirit when he returned to heaven after having been raised from the dead. This Holy Spirit, our helper, is always with us if we are believers.

John 16:33b says, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

What are some troubles or problems you are facing? Maybe you have relationship issues, struggling financially, are getting bad grades in school, or something else. In the scripture above replace the word trouble  with whatever you are facing.

This was one of our activities tonight. A fun way to get to know the memory verse better as well as plant it deeper with our hearts that no matter what we are facing that we can have hope because Jesus has overcome the world, and that the Holy Spirit is always with us.

From a simple children’s lesson and activity, take heart this week. Jesus has overcome the world!
