If God Leads You To It, Trust Him, Then Do It

So much to think about, crazy things to do, and Satan attacking on top of all of that. Sat down at the keyboard to practice songs for this weekend and was reminded of how great our God is. You can have a plan but when you’re on God’s timeline you go as he directs. This may be during practice, for your weekday schedule, or during service on a Sunday morning.

  • If God leads you to sing a line over and over and over and over again, do it.
  • If he tells you to pray when you weren’t planning on it during the service, pray, an instrumentalist can back you up.
  • If he tells you to cut out a song or go back to that chorus one more time, do it. He may even lead you in a new way of singing it.

You can have plans but it is the Lord who guides them; this is what I am learning and am seeing. I’m also noticing that when you do something right, when you say yes to God and keep on going, that Satan attacks like crazy. He’s been after me all week and he’s not going to win. My Jesus is.

Saying yes to God when he calls and defeating Satan is what I’m learning over and over and over again to do. “If you say go, we will go. If you say wait, we will wait. If you say step out on the water and they say it can’t be done, we’ll fix our eyes on you and we will come.”

Nomatter what God calls you to do – in your schedule, as the worship leader, as the instrumentalist or vocalist, when you’re talking to somebody…if God leads you to it, trust him, then do it.

We can make our plans, but the LORD determines our steps. – Proverbs 16:9 NLT

Where have you seen God at work in your life lately? Have you seen him calling you to step out and do something?
