5 Twitter Applications

For the last four days we’ve been looking at Twitter applications. Here is a summary of the ones we’ve already looked at as well as two more.

Echofon –

  • “Echofon automatically keeps unread tweets in sync between your computer, your iPhone and your iPad.” – http://www.echofon.com/.
  • Is for the iPad, iPhone, Firefox, and the Mac
  • Free download
  • ..not sure if you have to create an account, or if you can login with Twitter or an Open ID. Did not check this one out.


  • “With HootSuite, you can monitor keywords, manage multiple Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Foursquare, Ping.fm and WordPress profiles, schedule messages” – https://hootsuite.com/
  • Free, web application, No downloads,
  • Can view Twitter and Facebook friend updates within Hootsuite.
  • Downside – have to create an account, requiring a full name, email address, and password.

  • “Seesmic Web is a web application helping to easily manage and build your community directly in your browser…” –http://seesmic.com/app
  • Login with twitter, no download, online app, can’t post to FB is only a twitter thing

TweetDeck –

UberTwitter –

Personally I think I like HootSuite best and then TweetDeck for twitter web/desktop applications.

Any other Twitter applications I’m missing? Which do you prefer?
