Things In The Spring 4 of 4 – Be Green

In the Spring as well as anytime of the year it is important to be Green. Going Green is one way we can help protect our earth, reduce energy, and possibly save money. Here are a few ideas on how you can be Green:

  • Recycle paper, cardboard, plastic, ..
  • Public Transportation
  • Bike instead of drive
  • Wear clothing more than once (unless it stinks or looks dirty of course)
  • Plant a garden
  • Turn off the light
  • Unplug electronics when not in use
  • Pick up trash in a park
  • Hand dryers instead of paper towels

What will you do today to be Green?

  1. I was pretty much with you until “hand dryers instead of paper to” – one presumes that was meant to be towels.

But surely you jest? Hand dryers waste precious metals and natural resources (for the electricity) and once used it’s gone forever. Whereaas at least the paper towels can be recycled.

Oh, and how about walk instead of bicycle? That way less rubber is used in the tyres 🙂

  2. Thanks for catching the typo, fixed now. 🙂

That is a good point that hand dryers also use natural resources. Though they do keep bathrooms cleaner. How about no paper towels or hand dryers. Our hands can air dry?
